The US Open rolls on into the second week with plenty of intrigue filling the void left by several of the most high profile players on the men's and women's tours.

Reigning singles champions Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff, plus Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, have all fallen in the early rounds.

That leaves world No.1 duo Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek out in front as the favourites to clinch the final Grand Slam title of the year.
